Library program will enable additions to classic art masterpieces

The Otsego County Library invites community members to the main library at 6 p.m. on Jan. 12 to add their own touches to famous art pieces.

GAYLORD — Have you ever seen a painting and thought, “Hmmm. This could be better if it just had this one thing …,” but that thing is a cat in the background of a still life, Godzilla in the background of a cityscape, or something else that would just make the painting funnier?

The Otsego County Library has a program for you as community members are invited to the main library at 6 p.m. on Jan. 12 to add their own touches to art pieces from the collections of famous museums around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Louvre in Paris, and more. The library will provide the art and painting supplies as patrons just need to bring their creativity.
